The holiday season is the perfect time to show appreciation, whether it’s for a gracious host, a cherished client, or someone who’s made your year extra special. But finding the right gift can feel overwhelming, especially if you want to stand out while staying thoughtful and within budget.

As a Chicago Realtor, I know the value of meaningful gestures that leave a lasting impression. I love gifting items people wouldn’t normally buy for themselves—things that make a statement, like high-quality olive oil in a beautiful bottle, elegant cocktail picks to garnish drinks throughout the year, or even a chic tissue box cover (who knew you needed one?). These thoughtful gifts will go a long way with your host or your clients!

When it comes to gifting, I follow a few simple guideposts to make sure each gift feels just right:

Ditch scented items – People can be particular on how things smell (I know I can!) so I just avoid gifting things with scents like scented candles.

Donations – If all else fails you can always give a donation in the name of your host or client.
