Hosting a Fall Dinner Party - by Stef Coyne

We love to host. Happy hours, dinner parties, backyard parties, front yard parties...you name it and we'll open our doors to celebrate. However, this time it was a little different. We were gifted one of the best gifts one could ever receive, a private chef. If that isn't the most amazing way to say thank you, I don't know what is. Not only was the food out of this world but it was such a treat to have friends over and not have to spend all our time in the kitchen cooking and cleaning.

The hardest part was selecting the menu. We were introduced to Chef Aram Reed and each one of his menu items sounded better than the next. Somehow we were able to narrow it down:

Appetizers:

Pan seared dumpling, grilled pina, Korean style dipping sauce

Coconut shrimp, spicy remoulade, toasted coconut flake

Mole chicken skewer, queso fresco, scallion

First Course:

Crab cakes, wasabi aioli, nori, sesame seed, crispy carrots, arugula

Second Course:

Portobello ravioli, ramp pesto, ramp oil, sautéed mushroom

Entree:

Tomato rosemary braised short rib, horseradish parsnip puree, garlic spinach, crispy onion, demi

Dessert:

Vanilla cheesecake, strawberry puree, candied pecan, whip, sea salt caramel

Next up, it was time to shop! I found these super cute rattan placemats from Amazon, the napkins I bought are sold out but found these similar floral napkins from Zara and my water glasses are no longer available but love these blue water glasses from Arhaus.

Working for such a talented group of brokers and seeing so many incredible listings come through the Olive Well doors, I have such an appreciation now more than ever of our motto, "Where all live well". Buying a home is truly not as so cut and dry as I once thought, it's finding a place you are proud of and want to share memories in with your family and friends. If you haven't checked out my home tour yet, give it a look here.
